Good battery, but the charge doesn't really last, even when the laptop is just in standby mode.

After a year and a half of owning my MBP, it was time to buy a new battery. I stuck with the Apple-made battery because I really don't trust an "off-brand" battery in something as expensive as an Apple laptop. So long as you try to let it nearly die before recharging it, the battery should last a while. Every once in a while, I intentionally go from a full charge to a dead battery in one sitting before recharging, just to "condition" the battery. It may not be as nice as the new batteries in the unibody MBP's, but it gets the job done and will last a while if you don't abuse it too much.

I really can't say anything bad about this! It holds quite a charge very nicely, it's sleek, and it does the job well.
Apple charges a lot for their retail ones, so I've found used ones are the way to go.
