I purchased Airport Express on recomendation from my son. I bought it primarily for the purpose of streaming audio from my computer wirelessly throughout my home. Setting it us was difficult as the instructions which accompanied the product were not clear at all. I went online with an Apple representative and he help me get started in less than 10 min. Once I had it set, it has performed flawlessly. I have not yet tried if for printers or wireless networks for computer access.

Recomiendo el router Apple Airport Express. Es muy bueno... de tecnología N. Da muy buen alcance y la velocidad es excelente. La configuración inicial es un poquito complicada si no te lees el manual. Se recomienda tener un Mac para configurarlo más fácil y rápido. Para conectarle parlantes o amplificador de sonido es excelente.
En caso que quieras ampliar la señal de tu red inalambrica, solo te funciona si ya tienes un router Airport Extreme. De lo contrario, no te sirve.
Es muy util si lo llevas de viaje o a cualquier empresa y lo conectas a la red Ethernet y tienes tu red inalambrica al instante. Eso sí, no lo dejes en cualquier parte porque es fácil olvidarlo. Lo mejor es sacarlo en casos especiales. Es mejor tenerlo en casa o en la oficina. Muy recomendado... es un equipo que vale su precio.

I had some reservations about spending twice the amount for the Apple Express relative to other routers. I was also concerned about the number of issues that folks had with the set up on the network. After having it installed for two weeks now I thought that I would share my thoughts. I can happily say that I'm extremely please with The Apple Express. I had read a number of the reviews on Amazon and was very concerned about the ease of hook up. I tried to hook up a Linksys router several years ago without any success. I read the horror stories from fellow Mac users ultimately sent Express back to the vendor. When I first plugged the unit into the wall it took several minutes for the light to turn green. I believe the key is to wait until the light turns green before doing anything else. In this computer world waiting two minutes seems like a lifetime. The Airport radio device had been never used on my 5 year old desk top Mac. We have an Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11 and a Mac Book Pro in our network. I'll add a Windows lap top our the network this week. The key is to wait until the light turns green. Don't do anything else. I enable the radio and shut the Mac down and rebooted with the radio on. I did not have to install the software that came with the Express on either computer. The Mac rebooted and found the network. A few quick selections of network name and pass words got us into the network. The set up took about 10 minutes. If your a MAC user, this is the router to buy. Good range. No dropped internet connections. Fast, no noticeable change of speed while surfing. I still have the set up the printer on the network.

The Airport Express is like the kitchen gizmo they sell on late night TV that claims to do everything. Only with the Airport Express it's for real. You can go out and buy a print server, or you can buy an ethernet bridge, or you can buy a network extender, a music server and a host of other network devices. The Airport Express can be configured and reconfigured to do a multitude of different services depending on your needs.
Almost anything you might need to do to get more out of your wireless network, you can do with the Airport Express. It's a beautiful thing.
